Painting has been a vehicle for my imagination for over 30 years. It all began at Montclair State College where as a freshman, I elected to take an art course just for the heck of it!  It was a 9AM class and the students were all barely awake.  I immediately had a flair for painting space, fantasy and "strange" scenes. The professor felt that my artwork had a lot of spirit and soul and offered encouragement. That art class is the only one I have ever taken, oh well...maybe someday I will learn how to paint!! : )

At Montlcair State I happened to be carrying around one of my recently completed paintings of a fantasy castle, and one of my English professors expressed great interest in purchasing it!  I sold it for $25.00 and was totally ecstatic (That was a lot of money back in "those days".) I had sold my paintings and prints informally throughout the years, but considered my art just a "hobby". Many of my paintings were given as gifts and are hanging in the living rooms of family and friends.

Putting up the website in 2000 has enabled me to share my works with the "world" as well as create a market for this unique art. The art suits both the private and corporate sector.

The paintings are a reflection of my imagination and my fascination with with the ocean ,moon, space, castles and "odd things". A wide variety of media is used to create the art: Acrylic, Oil, Adobe Photoshop , Adobe Illustrator, Painter . I paint with Real and Virtual Brushes, on canvas and on a kind of "virtual" canvas called an Intuos.

The painting "Black Castle" was selected to appear as the cover art for the CD "Love Songs From Area 51" by the band PH101. "Separation" won best artwork and featured in AOL Creative Arts Publication. Some of my creations serve as background for the website home pages of Hit The Road Productions and Mercy Street.

In January 2008, I made a decision to take the art business to the next level and started JoaniArt LLC.

My most recent commission is to create artwork and set design for an orignial Rock Opera video. The sets are Prague-like buildings, castles and scenery with a "dark" side.

A product line of uniqueJoaniArt-Jewelry has been created and is now available for sale. This jewelry will enable you to wear the art!

Two exciting product lines that I am working on are Beach-Art and magnets. My JoaniArt magnet will be in a New Jersey beach shop this summer.

Also, a team is working on starting an online store which will feature JoaniArt products!

I am also networking with galleries throughout the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area to arrange art receptions and exhibits for JoaniArt.
